 Emmanuel Mann is one of Israel’s world music pioneers. Born in France, he became one of Israel's top bass players, moving comfortably from jazz, blues, funk, rock, country, folk to ethnic music. Emmanuel is a world music specialist and an expert in Arabic, Greek,Turkish, Balkan and Jewish music styles. He has developed a unique style blending Eastern and Western elements.

 

* HABRERA HATIVEET (1983-1996) Israel’s first ethnic fusion ensemble led by singer & composer Shlomo Bar. Pioneer of the local world music and one of the country’s most original and influential groups.

 

* BUSTAN ABRAHAM (1991-1999) The internationally acclaimed first Arabic and Jewish collaboration and corner stone of Israeli music which he co-founded, has made a huge impact on the local culture and have influenced a whole generation of musicians all over the world. The ensemble pioneered a unique synthesis of both Eastern and Western instrumental forms and is still considered one of the best the genre has produced.

 

* OMAR FARUK TEKBILEK ENSEMBLE (1997-2003) Acclaimed Turkish musician & composer performing Sufi music with electronic and traditional instruments. Nominee of BBC World Music Awards 2003.

 

* Co-producer of OSI MANN debut album WHISPER NOT in 2003.
